Appliance Installation Policy

Please read through our appliance installation guide and policy for a smooth and efficient experience:

1. Appliance Installation

  • Standard Installation: We offer installation for most appliances.
  • Permit Requirements: For any gas appliance installations, we will pull the necessary permits as required by local regulations.
    – The installation manual for gas appliances must be available for the Inspector.
    – All clearance as stated in the installation guide must be met per plumbing/gas code.
    – Any stove must have an anti-tip bracket
    – Bayside does not secure dishwashers to cabinets or counters. Bayside will level the appliance to the best of our ability. Bayside is responsible for the water piping and drain.

2. Return Visits and Charges

  • Chargeable Visits: Customers pay service fees if a return visit is due to a faulty appliance.
  • Removal: Bayside does not remove large appliances from the site. There is a $50 fee for the removal of small appliances.

3. Permit Failures and Reinspection

  • Permit Inspections: For gas appliances, we will schedule inspections to verify compliance with safety standards.
  • Failed Permits: If the permit inspection fails, we will return to identify and resolve the issue.
  • If the appliance causes the inspection to fail, the customer will pay for further inspections or service visits. ** see permit requirements above additionally.

4. Terms and Conditions

  • Warranty: Please take the time to register your new appliance.
  • Clearance and Access: Ensure that the appliance installation site is accessible  and free from obstructions before the installation team arrives.
  • Appliance location: The new appliance must be placed in the installation area by the delivery company.
  • Inspect your appliance upon delivery; this is the homeowner’s responsibility.

5. Customer Responsibility

  • Customers must inform us of any special installation needs, such as space limits or extra parts, before installation.
  • The customer is responsible for any damages resulting from improper use of the appliance or failure to follow the manufacturer’s guidelines.
